Evad3s release iOS 7.0.x untethered jailbreak

After more than 3 months of iOS 7 going public, its untethered jailbreak has finally been released - courtesy of evad3rs, the group responsible for iOS 6.x untethered jailbreak as well. Although the jailbreak is under some scrutiny, the "Taig" app store has now been removed from the package. Also, Evad3rs have released a lengthy explanation on their website to everything they are being questioned regarding Evasi0n 7 Tool.

Although the process is pretty simple, there are still some catches. So lets have a look at how to do the deed.

Step 1: Update your iDevice to the latest iOS it supports (which is iOS 7.0.4 in this case). You can either get this done through iTunes or click here to get the suitable IPSW for the update.

Note: As Apple tries to make it very hard to downgrade to your previous iOS version, in case you don't like the new one or get fed up with its maps, you should backup and save your SHSH blogs just in case. You can find out about how to go through with the easy process by clicking here.

Step 2: Plug in your updated iDevice into your computer and use iTunes to back it up.

Step 3: Go to and get the appropriate version of evasi0n tool for your operating system.

Step 4: After downloading and unzipping the downloaded file, click on evasi0n icon from the folder.

Step 5: Click on the evasi0n7.exe file (evasi0n 7 icon in case of mac users) and you will the tool open up which reminds us of absinthe jailbreak that came out for iOS 5.x and looks exactly like evasi0n 6 tool for iOS 6.x.

Step 6: Now plug in your iDevice and when the tool says that your device is supported, like it says below, click on Jailbreak.

Note: Users who have done the update to iOS 7.0.4 using over-the-air (OTA) update system need to restore their device with the iOS 7.0.4 IPSW using their computer. You can find the respective IPSW files for your iDevice here.

Note: If you have protected your iDevice with a passcode, remove it before going through with this process.

Step 7: Now when the evasion 7 tool has finished injecting Evasi0n 7 app on your iDevice, it will appear on the springboard (home screen) of your iDevice.

And now the tool requires you to click on this evasi0n 7 icon to complete the jailbreak process.

Step 8: Now, after some time, the tool will ask you to unlock your rebooted device. Do that to move along with the process.

Step 9: Now the work of evasion 7 tool is done and you can click on exit button when it becomes active.

Your device will now reboot (maybe more then once) and when it boots up, it will have been jailbroken untethered. Voila, you have a jailbroken iOS 7 device!

And now, you will see the very known face of Cydia appstore on your springboard.

Now, you can click on Cydia. It will load its filesystems for the first time and exit upon completion in order to successfully load the files it needs to work properly and efficiently.

We have made a video tutorial as well for the sake of ease for our readers. Here you go with that.

And now when you again fire up Cydia, it will be working normally. Now, you can enjoy the true power of your iDevice and can mess with its looks with the help of tweaks. With a jailbroken iPhone you can change operator icon, lockscreen themes, even skin the whole iOS interface and get paid apps for free with the help of AppCake. And this is just the beginning you can turn your iDevice into a whole new thing with the help of Cydia tweaks and now that every iDevice can be jailbroken easily, things and tweaks are going to get really interesting.
