Android 4.4 KitKat screenshots revealed

As it turned out a couple of days ago, the next Android iteration will be Android 4.4 KitKat instead of the previously rumored Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. But there was no information about what it will look like or the changes Google will do to the OS. The first leak, in the string of leaks about to come from the rumor mill, is out.

The leak comes courtesy of guys over at 9to5google. The pictures reveal a new lighter coloring scheme in the phone app's dialer. In the messaging app, the controls are being showed to be moved to the top right corner instead of bottom side based setup, much like the ones in iOS. The leaked screen shots also reveal a lighter colored status bar icons as well. Have a look at the screen captures to see for yourself.

Android 4.4 KitKat is expected to be unveiled alongside of Nexus 5 in the second half of October and by the looks of it Google is thinking of some element redesign and rethinking the placements of certain icons.
