Samsung pushes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Galaxy SII

Recently, Samsung has been releasing updates for its latest and greatest smartphones by bumping them to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, if they do not come with it out of the box. The update has got some great features, like Project Butter or Google Now, and as usual every Android device owner wants it. Well, here is a good news for Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G owners, you just got updated.

The update in itself brings all the regular Samsung 4.1 Jelly Bean goodies like Touch Wiz enhancements or the Nature UX. For those who have some confusion, Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G is that version of SGS2 which runs on the Ti OMAP 4430 chipset rather then an Exynos one.

Now, the official firmware build goes by I9100GXXLSR and should be available either through OTA or Samsung Kies in your region but even if there is no notification, you do not need to panic as global availability is on its way and you should be getting that desired notification soon.
