I know what you are thinking. This tweak may not be of any importance for you but it does hold a significance. It demonstrates the most little of humongous amount of tweaks and themes the software, which enabled this feature, has to offer. Yes, you got that right. We are talking about WinterBoard here.
It is one of those softwares that developers always rely upon to efficiently apply their brilliant themes and skins. It works with quite an easy and we are gonna see how to get it installed on your iDevice for applications of brilliant lock-screen themes and over-all skins.
Note: That Superman icon instead of Operator name is not part of WinterBoard tweaks and if you want to know how to get it, click here.
So, lets get to the techie part of installation which, to be true, is quite easy :)
Step 1: Obviously, a jailbroken iDevice is a prerequisite here. If you have a jailbrokne iDevice you can move on but if you don't, then you should head over to either Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered or iOS 6.x Untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 and iOS 6 users respectively.
Step 2: After you have gotten a jailbroken iDevice in your hand, you need to click on, our old and dear friend, Cydia. Let it download and reload the resources.
Step 3: After that, go to the search tab and type WinterBoard in it. Click on the first icon and let it load completely.
Step 4: When it gets loaded, click on Install and then Confirm (which pops-up after you click Install at its exact place). Now let it download, install and reload the data.
Step 5: After that, Reboot Device appears on screen. Click on it and let the device reboot.
Now, when the device will reboot you will see a WinterBoard logo on the Springboard. Voilà, you just successfully installed WinterBoard.
Now, here is the list of tweaks that come default with the WinterBoard. But, as i said before a lot of themes out there, specially the lockscreen ones(like in the picture below), use WinterBoard as there application software. Also you can use it to do some minor tweaks like the one i have shown in the starting, Transparent Dock.
Note: The lockscreen clock has been hidden using a tweak called Lockscreen Clock Hide. You can learn how to install it by clicking here.
