Gingerbread dying, Jelly Bean and ICS on rise

As we know, Google publishes Android distribution statistics. They have published stats for November. It has got some interesting facts to reveal. Lets see what they are after a break.

Thankfully, Android Jelly Bean has seen over twice number of users now compared to last month. Undoubtedly, the release of LG Nexus 4 and JB updates for various top dog HTC and Samsung months. Also ICS now rocks at 27.5%, up 1.7 points from October. All this growth came at the expense of Gingerbread which, although after taking the hit, is the most used Android version still. Maybe it has something to with the fact that low-end Androids count for most sales and they are stuck at Gingerbread because of the incompatible hardware.
