Any ICS device can now run Sony's Xperia launcher

Android OS is known for its openness and we have many custom ROMs and launchers to fiddle with. But some people like the hardware of one OEM and launcher of another. If you have been craving to run Sony's Xperia launcher on your Android smartphone, here is some good news for you. Sony's Xperia launcher can now be run on any Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean based Android device, thanks to XDA member ra3al.

The launcher supports both the Tablets and Phones until you have the compatible Android version. The launcher is very nice, consisting of 11 customisable desktop screens and app drawer grid size. Widgets are resizable and various icon packs are also supported as well. Backup support is also there.

The Xperia launcher is quite easy to install as its in form of an APK file. So, you can just download it on your phone and click install to have the fun. A prerequisite is that you should have 'install from unknown sources' option checked in your settings menu. You can download the APK file by clicking here.
